Font
15th century octagonal font
At the west end of the south aisle, is the octagonal font dating from the mid 15th century. It is one of only 38 in England which show the seven sacraments of the Church around the bowl, and although some of the figures were mutilated by the Puritans in 1644, the scenes still give a wonderful picture of mediaeval life.
The eight panels of the font depict the Crucifixion and each of the seven sacraments of the pre-Reformation Church.
