Organ chamber
The former St. Nicholas Chapel
To the left of the high altar, at the east end of the north aisle is the former St. Nicholas Chapel. This was the site of Thomas Seckford's Elizabethan family chapel, it now houses the organ and the tomb of Thomas Seckford (see here). -
Sedilia & Piscina
15th century Sedilia & Piscina
To the right of the High Altar, in the wall of the original sanctuary there is a set of three 15th century Sedilia. These provided seats for the Celebrant, Deacon and Subdeacon during the mediaeval high mass.
Between the Sedilia and the altar, beneath a smaller arch, there is a Piscina (the mediaeval equivalent of a kitchen sink!) used during the preparation for the mass.

The South-East Corner with Pitman Memorial
The east end of the south aisle houses the splendid monument to Jeffrey Pitman and his family (also see here). Partially visible in the foreground is the new Nave Altar which was installed during the major re-ordering of the church in 2002 - 2004. -
The Nave
The nave looking towards the high altar.
This view shows the nave looking towards the high altar, it gives a good impression of the light, airy interior of this beautiful mediaeval church.
